Running a small business isn’t always glamorous — it’s a daily grind of grit, hustle, and heart. Join us behind the scenes at Twenty Five and Pine as we share the real story of building our woodworking brand, balancing family life, and embracing every messy, rewarding moment.
We wanted to take a moment to get a little real and share some of the journey behind Twenty Five and Pine. Because let’s be honest — running a small business isn’t always glamorous, but it’s always worth it.
From the beginning, we’ve been building more than tables. We’re building a community, a craft, and a way of life that’s honest, hands-on, and a bit scrappy. It started with a simple need — we wanted solid wood tables that weren’t just cookie-cutter, mass-produced pieces. So Nick, my husband and co-builder, designed the Liz table, and we got to work.
But it hasn’t been without its challenges. Balancing a growing business with family life (hello, almost one year old baby!) means every day requires a little extra grit, patience, and coffee. We’ve learned to celebrate the wins, like when a customer sends a photo of their Liz table setup next to their couch, and laugh off the mistakes (like accidentally offering free shipping when we weren’t ready!).
We also want to be honest about what it takes: the long hours, the trial and error, and the ongoing hustle to make things better, faster, and more beautiful. Small business life means wearing all the hats — marketer, carpenter, accountant, and sometimes janitor (no shame).
If you’re on a similar journey or just curious about what it’s really like behind the scenes, we’re here to share and connect. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be diving into stories about what we’ve learned, how we make decisions, and how we balance life and work — all with a bit of humor and a whole lot of heart.
Thanks for being part of our community — it means the world to us.
